I think your use of “historical context” is an inapropriate way of putting Juan Cole’s article. When i think of history, i think of emperical evidence and furthermore a true attempt by the author to remove serious bias from writing. While this cannot happen in a perfect world, Juan Cole’s article is a failure to someone who holds a PHD. Stating that anyone who doesn’t hold a certain view of the US supporting Afghani rebels was removed based on religious grounds is unfounded. There is no fact to back this up and there is an obvious logical fallacies in his argument, which leads to his failure to make a correlation between the “Christian Right” and people being “downgraded.” Click http://link.mx/hool08200
